Summer vacation is almost here! After a long school year of homework, tests, and studying, kids need to let loose, too!

Here are a few reasons why kids love boating with Bridge Marina during their summer vacations.
Swimming
On a hot summer day, nothing beats jumping into the water! Boaters have the opportunity to swim in both Lake Hopatcong and at the Jersey Shore aboard our boat rentals or with our boating club membership.
Be sure to grab a pool noodle and some water toys to add even more fun to swimming. Fun fact: access to an abundance of watersports gear and toys is included with Bridge Marina Boating Club membership.
Places to Eat
Lake Hopatcong and the Jersey Shore offer many great restaurants and eateries right on the water. Kids will be hungry after a fun-filled day of boat rides and swimming!
Where to Eat on Lake Hopatcong
Lake Hopatcong has many great waterfront dining options that offer dock and dine service. On Nolan’s point, enjoy the iconic Windlass Restaurant or the Jefferson House. To the north side of the lake, there is the Mason Street pub. In Hendersons Cove, there are dining options, such as Lola’s Tex Mex.
Where to Eat in Highlands
Boaters will find plenty of waterfront dining options at our sister location in Highlands, NJ. For local seafood and American fare, try the iconic Bahr’s Landing in Highlands for its indoor and outdoor waterfront seating and popular lobster options. Proving Ground Restaurant is another Highlands’ favorite, offering casual chic fare and beautiful views of Sandy Hook. Both options are minutes away from Bridge Marina, making either of them an ideal choice for a waterfront dining experience.
The Seafarer Bar with Local Smoke BBQ, located at Baker’s Marina on the Bay (where our Highlands Boat Club & Rentals is located), features live music on most weekends and casual fare in a fun atmosphere; our guests enjoy winding down here after their day on the water.
When choosing a waterfront restaurant at either location, please be mindful of the condition of any docks you approach, and use fenders, lines, and bumpers correctly. Make sure you are comfortable with docking the boat on your own. Finally, please note that reservations may be required at waterfront establishments. We suggest calling ahead, especially on weekends.
Water Activities
Kids of all ages enjoy water activities such as fishing and watersports like tubing or waterskiing. Access to watersports gear and more is included in Bridge Marina Boating Club membership!
