As New Jersey’s largest lake, Lake Hopatcong has been welcoming summer guests for over a century. Lake Hopatcong straddles both Morris County and Sussex County and is full of quiet and serene coves, beautiful lakefront dining, and top-notch fishing…. there are plenty of things to do this summer on Lake Hopatcong with family and friends! Here are five of our favorites here at Bridge Marina:
- Catch the Sunset While Dining Lakeside. Lake Hopatcong is home to half a dozen waterfront restaurants that are accessible by boat (a rarity among lakes in New Jersey). Enjoy great eats, great views, and great company at our many “dock and dine” restaurant destinations on Lake Hopatcong. Our guests often enjoy Happy Hour and great views from the Tiki Bar at The Jefferson House. Good food, views and service can also be found at The Windlass.
- Revel in the Lake Hopatcong Annual Fireworks. Don’t miss the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club’s annual fireworks extravaganza… there’s nothing quite like watching this incredible Fireworks display from your own boat! 2019 fireworks will be held on Friday, June 28th in Mount Arlington, NJ. Visit our Facebook page for details.
- Anchor Away. Lake Hopatcong is full of quiet and serene coves… even on busy weekend days. Our Boating Club members, daily Boat Rental guests and dock slip members all have found a quiet getaway to drop anchor somewhere on Lake Hopatcong… no matter what day of the week! Ask one of our team members for their favorite suggestion next time you visit.
- Drop Your Lines In. Lake Hopatcong offers incredible fishing opportunities. Anglers reel in a huge variety of fish, including hybrid stripers, muskellunge, walleye, largemouth bass and more! Dow’s Boat Rentals offers a decent variety of live bait, tackle and more for all levels of anglers.
- Brush up on your Lake Hopatcong history while having fun. Our guests also enjoy a round of mini golf at Lake Hopatcong Golf at Nolan’s Point. Pull up your boat, dock, and enjoy a round (or two!) of mini golf in a gorgeous setting with miniature replicas of historical sites around Lake Hopatcong.
