At Bridge Marina, safety is at the core of everything we do – from our on-water training programs to how-to videos that share the boating basics to our NJ Boating Safety Certificate Courses. That’s why we’re thankful to the National Safe Boating Council for creating National Safe Boating Week to encourage and raise awareness for safe boating practices. Whether you’re new to the helm or looking to build your confidence on the water, this week is a great time to learn and practice boating safety tips.
What is National Safe Boating Week?
Organized by the National Safe Boating Council, National Safe Boating Week is held annually in May to further promote safer waterways and encourage boaters to follow responsible boating habits through proper life jacket use, boating education, and more.

If you’re new to boating and need your boating license, our New Jersey Boating Safety Certificate Courses are here to help! We offer a variety of course options year-round on Lake Hopatcong and in Highlands, NJ.

Need to sharpen your skills on docking, close-quarter maneuvering, and more? Or new to boating and looking for hands-on experience? Bridge Marina offers small group and one-on-one courses that get you on the water, learning to boat.
Join one of our professional instructors aboard your boat or ours and become a boating pro on Lake Hopatcong or Sandy Hook Bay! Our on-water boating lessons are just one way we partner with BoatUS Foundation and the National Safe Boating Council to promote education and safety on the water.
