Boat Anchoring Basics: Video Demonstration on Land
You head out for a beautiful day on the water and find the perfect spot to sit back and relax, so you pull at your anchor and line and drop it in the drink. But your anchor doesn’t hold and your boat begins to drift (frustrating at best, dangerous at worst).
If you continuously have trouble getting your anchor to dig in, we’re here to help with some quick tips, and an on-land demonstration of how an anchor works, sets, and sits on the bottom of a waterbody. In our experience, we find that all too often, boaters don’t let out enough line or scope… avoid this mistake with this quick video.
